Everyone knows Junior has his sights set on dismantling social security. He has hidden his true plan so far because it would be political suicide to announce *his real plans during his first appointment.

What makes me the maddest about messing with social security other than fooling with a plan that so many people desperately need it to live on in old age is this:

You only make social security payments on the first $87,500 (not sure if that is still the number) each year. If part of it is used for anything other than what it was first designed to be used for everyone making $87,500 or less would be paying a higher percentage of their income than the rich for whatever it is they want to dip into it for at the time.

Let me make up some numbers here just for the sake of clarifying my position. I think our tax system should be revised so that people pay closer to the same total percentage of their income into all taxes combined. Let's say the average annual income for all families is 50 thousand dollars a year. If the average person pays 30% of that income into all taxes the upper income people should pay closer to the same percentage. All taxes refers to income tax, social security taxes, all state and local property taxes, sales tax, gasoline tax and all other taxes added to any items, just all taxes. The way it is now the richer you are the lower the percentage of your income you pay into taxes. The best thing would be no taxes but we have to pay for the running of the government so the rich should suffer like the little guys do. If we did this until the national debt was paid down to about 2 trillion or so and then kept there we and our descendants would be a whole lot better off and taxes could be lower than they are today. This would only work if we forced the people in Washington to spend our money responsibly.

* "his real plans" refers to his handlers real plans
