Yes, you can find individual exceptions to my general principles. But that's all they are, exceptions to the general trend.

You are probably right, about Libya giving up their nuke program.

You are probably wrong, believing a pleasant fantasy, about Iran.

On the overall trend, you are provably wrong. Make a graph, with a time-line since 1945 on one axis, and the # of nuclear nations on the other. It shows a steady, systematic trend, towards more nations having the Bomb. If you prefer to graph other variables, such as the # of nations that have the basic technology, or could assemble a Bomb within a few years if they wanted to, or who had access to the critical (pun intended) ingredients, it shows the same pattern.

<The Al Queda and OBL want us to convert to the Muslim religion, or die>

There are no monsters under your bed,
no WMD in Iraq,
and no matter how popular Bin Laden becomes, he won't be landing an army on the coast of Texas, and converting the natives to Islam at sword-point. Enough already, with the fearful fantasies.

<if you think Cheney, Bush, and Rumsfeld are Hawks today, wait till you see them with a free hand.>

We are now well past the point of maximum Free Hand, maximum Authority, for the militarists. The proposed infinite series of Regime changes ends at two. They now have neither the means, nor the credibility, for any further adventures. We won't be fooled again. We are retreating, in defeat, from Iraq's cities. The best that Bush can do, is stage an election-eve show on the Afghan-Pakistani border, and hope to catch Bin Laden.
