I guess Microsoft must be viewed as a 'bank' these days, the stock barely participated in the Nasdaq's huge run last year, and is barely above the Oct NASDAQ lows of around 1100. Intel is getting the *rap kicked out of it and has just broken the 28 level. The news that AMD is finally at least cracking the server market isn't good, and I keep reading these news bits about some 'seasonal softness' that has inexplicably appeared <ggg>. If I could get some Intel for a trade around 25 I think that would work out, but we shall see.

Regards,
John

PS - Frankly, in the desktop arena I can't see why someone needs to pay extra for 'Intel inside', especially since most performance reviews show AMD chips ahead for less money. I would pay more for Centrino though, simply because of the superior battery life.

One other thing, I was in CT yesterday and the price of premium at a Mobil station I passed really caught my eye - $2.49/gallon at the pump!! If this keeps up all those soccer moms that 'love' the 'safety' of their Expeditions and Tahoes will be whining like you won't believe. Summer peak isn't even here yet. If gas stays up for any length of time, think about the ripple effect if all those big profit SUV's sit on dealer lots and the US auto industry takes a big hit... I hear that is already the case with the Hummer H2...
Regards,
John
