Lieberman is as close to a republican as you can get and still be a democrat. Re strong defence, pro-military positions -- I think that is an area filled with big lies. The biggest lie is that if you say certain things or take certain actions (landing on an aircraft carrier, putting a "these colors don't bleed" bumper sticker on your car) that you are strong on defence and pro-military. These are meaningless gestures that don't do any good for anyone. If Bush were really pro-military, he would have taken some of the tax cut money and given it to the families of the soldiers he has sent on a fool's errand.
