That's exactly my point. I don't consider making 90K "super rich". I don't consider someone who sells a business or hits a windfall one year in the market "super rich."

I don't consider someone who dies with a house, a couple of bank accounts and a life insurance policy "super rich."

Yet, if Kerry rolls back the Bush tax cuts, all the above will be considered "super rich."

Why do I post this? Look at the history of tax changes during every democratic (and many republican) administrations. It's much easier to tax the middle class, who are too busy making ends meet than to tax the real super rich. Bill Gates won't be hurt by Kerry. You and I will!!

There are different ways of looking at taxes.

If someone makes for example $200,000 and pays 30% in taxes they would pay out $60,000 to the Treasury.

The same person making $90,000 in your example at 40% pays out $$36,000 or contributes $24,000 less to our country for the same services as the person making $200,000.

This of course before anyone gets excited just an example and not real. The person making more money reduces the tax obligation of the person making less. That is how we are set up.

If Kerry is so against tax cuts, he should then say today that he is for raising the taxes of everyone back to the Clinton level. That would make more sense, but he will not do the right thing, instead he and AS promote a class war and have the obligation shifted to 1%. Not fair. Of course Kerry is buying votes with this scheme. If the Clinton rates were so good, then move them all up.

Kerry is simply buying votes and being disingenuous...again.
