OTOH, we have the U.S. Department of Labor with a totally lame "the dog ate my homework" excuse for why they cannot produce the PPI reports for January and February.

In Secretary of Labor Elaine Chou's world, if the news is bad enough, she figures to just keep it to herself. Shameful, really. But it's the Republican way.

In the meantime, other private database sources on the same statistics that the PPI covers are showing about a 33 to 40% annual rate of inflation in basic commodities in the recent months. Yikes.

Greenspan sees no upheaval, hears no upheaval, and speaks "no upheaval".
