Hey, MD, I agree with you. It seems to make little sense since the articles are available for free anyway on line. But that's their call to make, if indeed they actually did this. I think people need to more careful posting any paid subscription service articles. I was responding mostly to wstera's opinion that it was some sort of repression and the somewhat irate reactions to the removal as if we were wronged, and not they. Bottom line is that we were violating the law. I bet you told your kids the same thing we did-- hey- it may not make sense to you, but them's the rules and you got caught. I am, perhaps, more sensitive to this issue as a writer who sells (or tries to!) her work, and as the wife of a former copyright attorney.
