"Given the recent operational pack-ice delays and associated cost and the current overall cost of the well, we have reluctantly agreed with El Paso," Noval, Canadian Superior's chief executive, said in a statement.

So it cost SNG $10 million (1/3 of the $30 million) - does El Paso still own it? - would SNG be a buyer of it to continue exploration or do they not do that kind of stuff? - would some other company come along and pick it up for a song and have SNG continue forward with exploration? It just seems like SNG lost out on potential as opposed to actual dollars, and yes, the market pumped it up on that basis but it seems to be bringing it down harder than deserved unless SNG has nothing else making them money
