Detroit Edison and General Motors. I think I see a pattern here. <g>

You raise some valid points as to why investors in general may not pay very close attention to LT trades. I would suggest, however, that it could make a big difference whether one buys LT General Motors versus say Toyota, and think that this type of inquiry rarely takes place here or gets the thought that it deserves.

If you go to bigcharts and click "interactive charting" you can see a sharp disparity in the longterm performance (since '74) of GM as compared to TM.
