I've been right so far about the economic perdicament we are in and I suspect I continue to be right, about the economy. And if what I think comes to pass, then I can't see how Bush can win.

When the Bush administration announced that 7% GDP figure last fall, about the time the Bush supporters were jumping for joy and writing Bush's reelection speech, I was sitting in meetings where huge tech companies were planning on shutting down every department from accounting to personnel to core R&D in the US and send it offshore. And once this trend took hold of the industry, it means that there will never again be robust hiring in the US, no matter what the GDP is. That is the problem with this economy and the Bush economists are in denial about it. And its going to take legislation to fix. If Bush can win with this white collar unemployment I will be shocked. And manufacturing is worse. I honestly think that real unemployment and underemployment places like Ohio and Indiana is in excess of 30%. Bush needs to win those states? Fat chance.
