Makes all the sense in the world Gina--divide and conquer-- and i for one cant rule out the possibility that they may succeed. Just like many americans think kerry can negotiate away terror-see my last post--many europeans may believe that they are targets only because of their association with the US and of course they too might believe that if they could sacrifice israel and distance themselves from US policy they will be left alone. Madrid is beginning to smell like a Spanish Government decision to stay with the ETA accusation through the election, and then open it up. Probably a good move on the part of the ruling party, politically.
