In the Duranged world, it's not quite the same as reality. Saddam silenced his critics with mass murders, killings, rape, theft of billions belonging to all sects. The US just isn't as ruthless and actually cares about Iraqi civilians. If the US used Saddam policies, they could pacify the country in 2 weeks. Just kill, maim, rape and torture anyone who remotely opposes them. Of course, we don't do that, not even in a Duranged interpretation of reality.
