Reagan had a battleship shoot into Lebanon and accidentally hit a village.......many women and children died and that triggered the Beiruit barracks bombing. The US supported the Shah of Iran who was fairly brutal and money hungry. When Khomeni overtook the country of Iran the US had been on the wrong side so the Embassy was seized. The people had undergone much under the Shah. For every effect there has been a cause. The cycle has to stop somewhere or it keeps perpetuating.
