Hi Searle,

Re: dailytelegraph.news.com.au

Quote:
The videotape, found in a rubbish bin near a Madrid mosque late yesterday, featured a man speaking Arabic who said: "We claim responsibility for what happened in Madrid just two and a half years after the attacks in New York and Washington.

Found in a rubbish bin??? Does this seem as ridiculous to you as it does to me? Does "planted evidence" just rip off the page on this zinger? Is this as transparent as the "discovery" of a "stolen van with seven detonators and a Koran tape"?

Why would a death squad chance stealing a van when the mission was to be as surreptious as possible in planting IEDs? Why would they leave evidence behind?

Some of this story is getting almost as far fetched as the "official story" surrounding 9/11/01.

Re: BTW, I copied that Seneca quote from one of your posts although I didn't give you credit for it.

I noticed that and appreciate the nice touch it added to your post.

Here's a few more Latin expressions you can use to spice up an argument and drive the No-Nothings crazy with envy over your erudition:

Cui bono?: "Who benefits?"
Cui prodest scelus, is fecit: "He who profits by villainy, has perpetrated it." --Seneca
Mundus vult decipi, ergo decipiatur... : The World wants to be deceived, therefore deceive it.
oderint dum metuant: "Let them hate, as long as they fear." --Caligula
otiosa sedulitas: "Laborious trifling."
Quis cusodient ipsos custodes?: "Who watches the watchmen?" --Juvenal's Satires
sic volo, sic jubeo, stat pro ratione voluntas: Thus I will, thus I command, my pleasure stands for a reason.

And for the advanced wonk and wonkette, we have this Phrase dictionary: sacklunch.net

Re: Jihadi Bombers Guide Book --

That DoJ "document" strikes me as being about as phony as the Osama Bin Laden impersonator claiming responsibility for 9/11 on a CNN video, with English overdubbed on the original Arabic, which conveniently almost no Americans can speak anyway.

I'm wondering if that Bomber's Guide Book is as authentic as this Usamah Bin-Ladin denial of involvement in 9/11 and accusation of Israeli agents:
