Stern's listenrs are typical joe sixpack male swingvoters. That's a fact. They're a lot of slobs who rarely vote but wil if Howard tells them to. Howard has millions of loyal fans around major metro markets, some in battleground states like Cleveland, Vegas and Miami.

AS is right. Howard Stern speaks to a very important portion of the American electorate. Many people will vote Republican or Democratic out of tradition, idealogy or loyalty. But, there are millions of swing voters who decide the elections and a lot of those people are typical Howard Stern listeners. Not the most intellectual amongst us, but people who want to make a difference in our country and are very middle of the road. They'll follow Sterns lead and vote for Kerry. I know it pains the Republicans, but this could be a decisive factor. It's a culture war after all, and the Stern listeners aren't exactly Christain Right warriors, in fact they're the exact opposite and now Howard Stern is showing them that.

He swung the vote in favor of Whitman and Pataki. By their own admission.
