I can't even imagine why you would connect the two statistics. Could you explain what you've got in mind?

Since 9-11 obesity and tobacco have killed 1000 times as many civilians in the USA as al Qaeda.

But how many World Trade Centers, Pentagons, and jumbo jets have obesity and tobacco destroyed? Not to mention train stations.

If you are not concerned about the people, maybe the property matters? It's very expensive property.

I don't smoke, but am overweight. There are a number of diseases obesity causes, from heart attacks to strokes to diabetes. None of which involve being lacerated with ball bearings, nails and screws being driven into the body by the use of explosives. Obesity runs in my family. The obese women in my family tend to live to be 90 years old. If I were thin, I could possibly live to be 100, but fail to see the point. I'd rather drink beer and wine, and eat lobster and fois gras (when I can afford them), and die at 90. Just another ugly American, I suppose, just one more fat American, but I really prefer heart attacks and strokes to ball bearings and nails. Or being burned to death. Or poisoned.

Why, did someone run around shooting all the fat people and smokers? You should mind the proportions - the difference between a shortened life expectancy and wanton murder.
