I disagree about Syria. Bush has probably exerted the most pressure on Syria of any President in the past 50 years. You really can't be critical there. I do agree with you that Syria is a real danger. In today's news, we are apparently supporting Kurds who are making things very difficult for the Assad and his dicatorial regime. I hope we do more there and I suspect we will.

As for Saudi Arabia, you have often commented that they are in the pocket of Bush. The evidence shows that the Saudis have been more than just passive in fomenting terror. Despite that, I sense that you agree with the current Bush approach, which is to apply subtle pressure but to keep the strong relations between the two nations. I don't necessarily agree with this but it seems that you are more pro-Bush here than I am.

It seems, according to your post, that Kerry would do virtually the same thing that Bush has done with respect to both Syria and Saudi Arabia.

I suspect also that Kerry, Clinton, Lieberman, Gore would have done exactly the same thing in Iraq as Bush has done. Bottom line - it's all politics in this sphere. Easy to criticize, very difficult to bring real dynamic change to the table.

I would have JK get tough on Syria. They are the one Bushies have pretty much left alone. Maybe because they have no oil.

Just last week, both CNN and the BBC reported that sanctions against Syria were imminent:

Oh, so Kerry listens to you? You are something else. I know, you do not lie. He really does what you want...

I would have JK get tough on Syria.
