Another panel member, former CIA deputy director William Studeman, now with Northrop Grumman, contributed $250 to candidate Bush's campaign in 2000. His wife gave the Bush re-election committee $500 just a week before her husband was named to the panel last month.

That's some BIG BUCKS!!

Another moronic post.

Honest questions: Why does the 911 commission matter in an era when we now know our intelligence capabilities to be clearly flawed? It stands to reason that anything coming out of the CIA or FBI on the subject of terrorism and rouge states is suspect.

Shouldn't we be less focused on what the President knew (Clinton and Bush), and more on the overall breakdown of intelligence since the end of the Cold War?

Should we not be more focused on a truly non-partisan exercise when both parties are to blame to one degree or another for the breakdown in intellegence? Do you honestly believe this is about getting to the "bottom of it"???

GREAT URGENCY FROM THE PRESIDENT: "Five weeks after being appointed, the group has not met, and it is unclear when it will". Probing the intelligence panel

I believe the holdup here is because Bill(The Coward) Clinton has refused to testify. The investigation will center on his, along with Kerry's, misfeasance of office and destruction of our intelligence capabilities. He is hoping to hold this off until after the elections, to aid Kerry's chance for the Presidency, for Bill and Hillary are sure, after four years of Kerry, if he should win, the electorate will be demanding a new president. In the background they, the committee, are preparing the proper subpoenas for Bill and his ilk. They are also going to look into North Korea and the Jimmy Carter/Albright fiasco treaty set up by that pair and signed by Clinton that allowed N. Korea to gain nuclear weapons, as we sent them billions of dollars in oil and food, unknown to the American citizen. Very well hidden by Slick. The committee also wants information on the Sudan offer to turn over Osama to the US, and the reason for the rejection of the offer, which led eventually to the WTC disaster. Slick, and his administration, has alot to answer for. Let's also not forget the Chinese stealing our nuke secrets under Slick's reign. If they take the investigation far enough, we may learn how Terry McAuliffe managed pick up a cool $20 million from Global Crossing, just before it went bankrupt. Seems Mac befriended Gary Winnick, Global CEO, with his boss Slick and got a possible inside tip on buy and sell. Martha Stewart is a piker compared to McAuliffe. Inquiring minds would like to know.
