Clearly the diet generates weight loss.

What I wonder about is the long term effect on cholesterol and heart health. I've read Atkins claims, but haven't seen anything objective.

Since your friend is an internist and you did it together, did either or both of you compare your pre-diet cholesterol levels with post-diet or recent results. I'd be very curious to hear about the numbers.

Thanks!

Thanks Murrey.

I'm not prepared to say right now that I'll never eat a potato again (on St. Patrick's Day at that!), but for now, cutting out the carbs has worked wonders. I'm eating more vegetables than I ever have before, and am noticing positive changes after less than three weeks.

Here's to good health for us all.
