The thing is, recessions don't just start overnight... All the underlying causes were brought forth when Clinton was in office.

March 2001 was the start of the recession, government technical fact.The Bushies can point only to the last quarter of 2000 as a lousy wuarter too, but maybe that had something to do with Bush leading the polls, "winning", priming the phony energy crisis and preparing to fix what wasn't broken. Bush did zero to help or even encourage the tech industry. It was as if he wanted it to crash and for Big Oil and energy to take over.
