<Spain as a lost part of the Muslim world>

You are scaring yourself with ghost stories. In the Muslim world (as the latest Pew poll makes very clear), there is broad and deep support for the agenda of removing non-Muslim soldiers from Muslim-majority lands. It ends there.

<I see France coming under attack for its head scarf law>

That's a realistic fear. If France decides to become an illiberal democracy, with the majority Seculars voting to suppress the culture of the minority Muslims, there will be conflict. And the conflict will turn violent, if the Muslims feel their way of life is threatened, and there are no legal ways to address their concerns. France should have thought through the consequences, before allowing 10% of their population to become Muslim. The French mistake, was the arrogant assumption that Muslims can be assimilated into French culture.
