Somebody needed to be busted fo some big time.

google.com
read to your heart's content. These tiny little glass fibers in asbestos can lodge in the lungs and cause either immediate trouble if you get a high enough dose fast, or serious trouble years later at lower dosages.

Those coatings were developed to replace asbestos. They're not as effective, though.

Engineers who survive years of nonsensical calculations tend to be crazy upon graduation, anyway
I RESEMBLE THAT! :-)

Imagine taking a test where you are asked to calculate (to the second decimal point) the weight a particular slab in a particular structure can bear in particular conditions, AND THEN MULTIPLY the result by 3 (as a safety factor). Always made me wonder WTF all those calculations for, if you are to multiply the result by three anyway - just guess the weight you want it to carry!
Oh. And how do you come up with how much material for a particular configuration of material is needed to hold that weight?

BTW, I will sign a waiver of all damages against any civil engineers involved in the design of any bridge you corss, right? Just in case it collapses.

I got rosy cheeks and a grilled nose just from having lunch outside the other day :-)
Aw, I'm sure your little red noz is quite cute. :-)
