That's the nature of a Ponzi Scheme. The scheme collapses and the FOOLS who permitted it to go on PAY THE PRICE. Social-Security-to-Work and BRUTAL means-testing are inevitable in the SHORT-RUN as part of the cure for the cancer of a Social Security system that steals working peoples' money and transfers it to retired tort lawyers. You've been ripped off and left in the dust, Baldass, and the punch line is you don't even REALIZE it yet...

I totally agree with you. I have been planning for my retirement since I was 14 years old. However, just because I always put away something for old age is no reason why I am not entitled the SS that I paid in for. It just enrages me when people talk of means testing SS. I saved cause I wanted to BE SURE I would have a comfortable final years. For those who lacked the foresight to do so, tough cookies. AND dont tell me they COULDNT, I would have lived in a tent if thats what it took to PAY MYSELF something each month. jdn
