No "breathless recitation", really. And I cannot claim any of it to be "facts".

I saw the documentary I mentioned on a French TV channel last year. And it did not look like a "mocumentary". The people they interviewed, including Kubrick's wife, looked quite serious to me. "Taking words out of context" seems a rather harsh judgement, especially in the case of Kubrick's wife who explained in detail the set that was set up for the shoot and how Kubrick stayed home for years thereafter, afraid to go out in case he "disappeared". If those words were taken out of context, I would be interested to know what the context was.

Frankly, I did not care enough about the theory to investigate anything on that program or all that it claimed. All I am saying is that it is not impossible that Kubrick may have been approached for a hoax shoot. As I said before, I do believe man landed on the moon. However, the two things are not mutually exclusive. It seems possible to me is all. I don't have enough data to make a judgement either way.
