Another Bushie lie: Kerry never voted against body armor. He has been protested FOR body-armor. The proper body armor was not given the troops who invaded. The 87 billion vote came months later. There was plenty of money in the pipeline for the troops for many months. JK wanted a more thorough accounting for the 87. Much of that money is not for the troops BTW, and even some that is could be wasteful spending, such as Halliburton over-charging which the DOD is now starting to crack down on. The Bushies basically tried to rush the 87 billion through without proper accounting. This would never be tolerated in any corporation or institution. JK is a fiscal conservative. Strong on defense but not for wasteful spending. JK has always fought for the troops and veterans. That is a big priority for him. He knows what it's like to be in enemy fire without armor.

The fact that there is no line item for these does not mean they were not part of the larger appropriation which Kerry voted against.
