A guy 2 miles from me used to burn his trash and at times his yard would catch on fire. He had a flower bed next to his garage and the fire would stop when it hit the bare dirt. Last spring he lit a fire and was sitting in his easy chair watching the game and enjoying an adult beverage when he smelled smoke. Looked in the garage and got his truck out before it caught on fire and called the volunteer fire fighters, which is only a mile from him and they kept the fire from getting to the house. The difference last year, his flower bed was full of old leaves which burned hot enough to ignite the garage. My regular fishing buddy is in bad shape. His immune system is eating his lungs. I will be fishing with a couple of the coffee shop guys. One roofs until noon, hooks up his boat, nets bait, drives 5 hours to where he likes to fish in Wisconsin, fishes all night and heads for home at 8am. The guy is also 76 years old.
