I listened to an ex fbi terror expert on Imus this morning and he brought up a good point i would like to share and try to bring some balance to the thread. first he mentioned Al Q. was one of many terrorists groups the fbi terror team where following.

Second the top expert on terror groups was John O'Neil out of Nyc fbi terror group agency. the guest spent five weeks with John investigating the U.s. S. cole bombing.

O'Neil retired after Cole investigation and went to work for the twin towers the day before 9/11 and was killed the following day in the twin towers. His point, O'Neil knew about the Al Q. operations more than any person in the fbi. Do you think he would put himself in the twin towers if he knew or we had any knowledge of 9/11?

some background on John O'Neil

O'Neill was a man Osama bin Laden wanted dead. O'Neill had been a Deputy Director of the FBI, and Osama bin Laden's main pursuer in the US government. O'Neill had investigated the bombings of the World Trade Center in 1993, a US base in Saudi Arabia in 1996, the US embassies in Nairobi and Dar-Es-Salaam in 1998, and the USS Cole last year.

Great to sell books and i am sure the writer contributed to public service but perhaps this is only a piece of a big story. It may be as he recollects his contributions , at the time there was a lot going on and as the ex fbi terror expert says Al Q was only one of many groups we were following.
