Utter nonsense, Rummy said he KNEW where they were around Baghdad, they gave tonnage.

How did they spirit them out with our spy satellites that can read the license plates on cars?

You, like all of the others that point out how easy it would have been to conceal wmds, overlook the obvious counter to that assertion. While it might be easy to hide them, it would be not easy to cover up years of actions and activities that resulted in their existence. It would not be easy to cover up those that had charge of them. It would not be easy to cover those who hid them.

How difficult would this be in a country that we now control, where the old regime is out of power forever, where we are breaking down prisoner after prisoner to reach up the ladder of those responsible, and where we are offering huge rewards for just this type of information?

I'd have to say that it would be incomprehensible that we would not have found the scent of that trail and been able to follow it to the "hidden" wmds or their newest home. Kay knew this and he told us all that he didn't believe "large stockpiles had existed." During congressional questioning he conceded that he didn't believe "small stockpiles" had existed either.

Don't be fooled by the often touted allegation that it would not be difficult to physically hide wmds. We should all remember that it would be virtually impossible in today's Iraq to hide their trail, wherever it had led. The simple truth is that the Bush people overhyped wmds using that fear as leverage to get support for a war that this country would not otherwise have supported.
