Can you produce wind on demand? Me specifically Mish ? Sure no problem :O)
I did mention nukes first... but seriously wind seems to be able to alleviate use of fossil fuels.. Germany and Denmark come to mind (and I just learned about Spain) although I'd guess we have more room for it up here than they do especially up in tar sands country.
OTOH further thinking and digging on that topic leads me to the numbers on Germany's phase out of their nukes.. about 20% of electric generation... I guess they'll need some of that LNG too... NG goes global... lots more to think about eh. Actually there seems to be quite the market for LNG out EEC way already... Japan already wants Russia's...

As an aside on the wind.. There is a turbine at the Pickering nuke plant near my house by Lake Ontario. curiously on real windy days they need to shut it down... The size is pretty impressive up close.

Liz now I have even more to think about ... Here I thought it was just a nice case of keeping a floor under the NG price in NA... BTW I forgot to mention before that Mexico is a net importer of NG from you guys already... I was just talking about that last month.. a bit surprising actually..
