You and Raptech would both be happier getting fleeced at Best Buy it seems to me.

You don't get it. In the past 3 years I have bought 3 computers for myself, and 16 computers for clients, all from Dell. I am a good customer and would only expect to be treated as such. Not looking for anything special, but just to have a reasonable response in a timely fashion.

Dell or any company that does not know how to value and retain customer goodwill will lose business. There is competition and choices and they are not all at Best Buy. You wouldn't seem to comprehend that there is more than just price when considering a purchase. How I am treated is far more important than the lowest price.

You would be a poor manager of a company if you would be unwilling to listen, evaluate and correct possible customer relation problems. Stop trying to excuse an indefensible Dell mishap. They do and will make mistakes!!!

And what was my problem? I ordered a machine in the very beginning of March and it took three weeks. Last summer I ordered a kick-butt server with three hard drives, RAID 5, tape backup, and ordered a top-end PC at the same time. Had them both in days.
