You forget that we give Colombia too much aid so the government supports the spraying. You are wrong about the spraying analogy with our country. It is government supported.

I believe it should be legalized. It would greatly reduce our prison population, we would have far less violence because no gabgs would be fighting over drug turf, leave the battles go instead to who sells a controlled substance better, Osco or Walgreens. Can you imagine the tax revenues, even with an amount set aside for drug treatment programs, we would be far ahead. Consumers are not criminals, they are consumers or addicts, just like alcoholics are addicts. They do not belong in prison, unless the do a crime under the influence, then the sentences should be far stronger so that they will have little chance ever to do that again.
