The thing is, the reason we haven't had an attack on US soil lately is that they haven't wanted to attack.

The D.C. sniper showed how ludicrously easy it is to terrorize an entire region of the country ... a nutcase with a rifle and a used car.

Let's see.......with the exception of Oklahoma City, we had no attacks "ON US SOIL"

Don... there were a number of different terrorist attacks against American facilities and ships during those years. And it's pretty evident that the lack of effective response emboldened Bin Laden to directly attack the US.

And it's funny how you "conveniently" chose not to mention the '93 WTC attack, and chose only an act of domestic terrorism (which there hasn't been any repetition of since).
