Well, if you see them again, tell them I said Hi!! Will do. (grin) My mother was 42 when I was born (really unusual in 1943) thus I grew up with that sort of thing (rock and roll wasnt something my parents even understood) but its been a long time. Yeah. I grew up with classic stuff too. My parents insisted I learn piano. I took to it, began composing early on, even took a degree in Applied Piano in my late teens. Then I got wise and began thinking of a real job. (I once said this accidentally to a friend of mine who is a pianist. When I saw the expression on his face, I realized I had really stepped in it). The truth is, I hated performing, but I loved to play and still do. So I abandoned serious piano returned to school and took a few other, more useful degrees. My parents were very understanding. I still write and play here and there, teach my kids the instrument, how to hear music, form and analysis, theory. I think it is important. My wife also plays piano. She also studied flute with Baker and is an extraordinary musician. I have a few published books on various subjects (under another name). I paint. It is rare to find me not listening to Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and many others of this general sort. But I enjoy rock too. I like Peter Gabriel, Laurie Anderson, Crimson, Bruford's few groups. That sort of stuff. I'm not as pure a mountain man as I appear. But I am definitely a mountain man. I enjoy bluegrass, both vocal and instrumental.
