I try to invest to make money and that means buying companies that benefit from current trends.

Now if you can convince everyone to pay $6 a lb for fresh spinach sitting out where everyone can sneeze on it at Safeway rather than going to Costco where I get 3 lbs of it for $3.59... then you might be able to slow the offshoring trend. The cost savings are so significant that I have no problems throwing away some food that goes bad from buying more than I can use because what matters is overall cost.

You said 3M jobs were lost under president Bush

I asked if you knew how many were working today vs when President Bush took office.

RE: I don't know

I went to the BLS (http://www.bls.gov/data/home.htm ) and looked up how many people are working.

Jan 2000 = 211,410,000
Jan 2001 = 213,888,000

Jan 2004 = 222,161,000

Civilian noninstitutional population

It sure looks to me that more are working today than when Bush took office.
