About time someone agreed with something i wrote. When i was tripping over my words with UW yesterday this is what i was getting to re: comparisons with vietnam. In vietnam we had substantial civilian support but at night those folks were terrorized by the vc. We escalated and escalated but it never changed the basic equation. Folks like UW, perhaps correctly, claim we fought that war with one hand tied behind our back. Iraq feels that way to me today. So teach these bastards a lesson they wont forget or back away from a united iraq at this point. Iraq aint no vietnam unless we make it one. Mike
