Let's see. Because I'm anti-Sharon and anti-Likudnik, I'm anti-Semitic. Well, since I've been called anti-American because I'm anti-Bush, I shouldn't be surprised. Actually, I fear that some of my Jewish friends, who are more anti-Sharon than I am, will suffer in an anti-Jewish backlash - that I suspect is coming. It's sad and unfair, since the anti-war movement is well populated with many Jewish activists.

BTW, if I'm anti-Semitic, why do I like Noam Chomsky so much? Or is he anti-Semitic also.

By responding to events that are occurring and reporting the news of those events how does that make one an anti-semite ? I fail to see the connection and would like elucidation on how lurger is one..

To summarize Lurqer as "...an anti-Semite, plain and simple." is a gross oversimplification of his postings here and way off the mark too.

He is anti- everything, mainly narrow-mindedness and byproducts thereof.

Funny, but Lurq's analysis parrots the words I tell my mother all the time ( or not, since Lurq either owns, or is owned by, a parrot). She began talking about Gibson months ago; I told her she should wait for the movie, and that Gibson was small potatoes compared to the growing resentment because of the neo-cons.It's easy to see. There is lots of it on the net.

I've only been called anti-Semitic once; by my father, during a High Holiday sermon about Israel and Lebanon, right after the massacre in the refugee camps. He didn't like my muttered references to Begun the Butcher and Sharon. He later apologized. Much later, he admitted I was right.

I have no problem being critical of Israel's government, especially since I help support Israel with money, usually to private organizations. That doesn't make me anti-Semitic. I have no problem being critical of our government, either. That doesn't make me anti-American.
Labels are too easily applied.

The neo-con Zionists are making anti-semitism respectable again. Most of the neo-cons responsible for the bloodletting in Iraq are extreme right-wing Zionist Jews. And facts are stubborn things.
