My love, don't you understand that it is WE, the US, who permit the International community to endlessly flap their jaws about the problem, but never hold their feet to the fire with regard to actually resolving it.

Uh-huh. Didn't we just try this with regard to Iraq and Saddam, with, shall I say, mixed results?

At the very least, a US effort to create an international coalition would reveal that the European "emperor has no clothes" when it comes to REALLY caring about the Palestinians.

We just did that too. Do the words "Quartet" and "Road Map" ring a bell? The Euros give Arafat millions of euros, that's how they define caring. We have seen that no amount of evidence will get them to notice that Arafat is a terrorist.

There is no Palestinian entity now that could deliver any kind of a deal, anyway, so what's the point? The territories are being run by armed gangs, which suits Arafat fine. Do you propose to set up a new NATO-run Mandate of Palestine to conquer & rule the place for the next 10 years? No? Then let's wait for Arafat's death and the result of the civil war.
