I was just with my sister. Her two boys had a speed skating competition. To be quite honest with you, I couldn't bring myself to ask her for the picture. She cherishes it dearly.

She lost her baby nearly five years ago. Since then she's had a beautiful baby girl who just turned 4.

I'll see my sister again later today. I'll try to get the picture. As I recall, it was a Polaroid taken by the nurses at the hospital. No problem with scaling as my sis is holding the baby in her arms. Obviously, I won't tell her that I'm posting it on the net.

PS - I checked with my wife and the fetus was indeed 3 -3 1/2 months. It was her first trimester ultrasound.

So sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

Believe me, I know how much a wanted baby means. My wife and I have been trying for three years and still have nothing to call our own. Doctor tells us that physically we are both okay. For some reason it's not happening. We've tried artificial insemination three times(yup, I had to visit the tiny closet all by myself) only to be disappointed each time.

We were at the clinic last Friday. Woman before us was having twins. She was 4 months pregnant and the doctor showed us the 3-D ultrasound images of her babies. It was literally a 3-D picture on the monitor that we saw of two fully formed babies. At first I was startled. I thought they were siamese twins since they were so close together. The heads were touching as the babies were in reverse position. Really incredible picture.
