Lizzie, RE: I don't know why you would come to a conclusion that AMD is any worse off than Intel.

Perhaps because AMD finds it so difficult to make money?

8 of the last 9 years AMD has lost money. You have to go back 18 years to find a year that INTC lost money. AMD is so leveraged that they are a bad couple of years from going broke. Intel could relive their worst year for a decade and still not need to borrow money.

I don't know how you could come to a conclusion that AMD ISN'T worse off than Intel.

Lizzie -

I don't know why you would come to a conclusion that AMD is any worse off than Intel.

You're not serious are you?

How about this little tidbit -

AMD has debt payments due each year for about 5 or so years. Each one exceeds the total profit AMD has posted in their corporate history.

You are kidding right? AMD will have to make a ton of money just to pay off the debt they have. AMD's D/E is approaching 1, INTC's is close to zero! And making a ton of money is no sure thing for them. If they need to ramp for demand, will they be able to?
