There are two competing interests here: (1) putting down the rebellion with minimum civilian casualties; (2) minimizing US casualties I think they are mutually exclusive. In order to minimize civilian casualties, our troops have to put themselves in harm's way. The safe way to get the job done would be to pound Fallujah with artillary and missiles for a few days before our troops went in.

How does one get and kill the islam terrorists without harming innocent people? The islam terrorists are hiding among civilians as shields, their own children. In many many countries including your own islam terrorists hide among innocent people. So how does one get them.? I have always made reference to and felt bad about the loss of innocent life of anyone. Have you forgotten how many times I have protested arabs muslims using their own innocent children to strap bombs on themselves and go out and murder more innocent people? Anyone who puts their dislike for a single person before the lives of innocent people does not deserve any respect from me...such as I am.
