<<...does the money seem to be coming more into small cap stocks than the larger cap issues?>>

I have not tried in the past to measure "money flow" into "large caps" vs "small caps", but I think I am safe in saying that much more money is going "in and out" of large caps than small caps just because of the relative size and capitalization differences.

However, having said that, there is no question the smaller cap stocks have higher "betas" than the larger cap stocks, both on the upside and downside. The smaller cap stocks go up faster than the large caps when the market is improving and they go down faster than the large caps when the market is deflating.

From time to time in the past, I have posted tables showing this type of action over a specific period(s) of time. I don't have a list of posts I can provide of this action, but if you are interested in pursuing this type of action further, there are past tables posted on this thread which show this difference.

HI Jess,

If it's just you - then it is the both of us.

Actually my retitement is 100% in the Russell 2000 and it has been leading since this Rally started last year.

For a while the midcap 400 led the way,but I think the Russelll definitely is leading this recent breakout.

Jim Awad on CNBC this mornig also thought the small caps were less burdened by the political outsourcing issue.More responsive and able to move faster.Money is cheap and small caps are more flexible than the beaurocratic big corporations.

He thought although they've led up till now - they had more room to go.

Let your winners run - they say.

Giddy up !!

Bob
