It's not hand wringing. If another group - say policemen,
firefighters, teachers - were seeing the same thing happen - say thousands of Mexican workers being brought in to replace entire departments - and then having them train them first, before the US workers with 10-20 years were let go - you would see bloody rioting in the streets.

You know you would William.

Probably - we will have to see journalists, stock brokers, traders, etc. (salaried ones anyway) outsourced, and their butts thrown out in the street on TV - live maybe - then we'll see how much pontification goes on about how it's "just the market."

Everyone has some ox that could be gored on this.

Have a retired parent collecting Social Security? Why that's damned socialism! Cut the bums off, and throw their ass*s in the street also - they are no longer productive!

I've had it with greedy, apologist class here that has taken root in the USA. Everyone out for themselves, don't give a damn about anyone else. A twisted Amerika - apprarently reaping what is sows - if you see the news today.

Like I said, they need to see about 100,000 IT workers organize and walk out - then you will see business stop in the US. Maybe an IT walkout day to protest this?

Without computers - nothing works. Not the market, not factories, not trading either. Something to contemplate...

ratdog, no offense intended since I enjoy your posts ....

However, your bolding of Mr. Miller raises this thought ...

He says he is "looking forward" admittedly without any idea of what he is looking forward to.

Some would say this is not looking forward but running blindly into an abyss.

The problem with this outsourcing issue is this ... the demise of most societies in history has come when short term thinking has dwarfed any plan of what the future will be.

Today, western society is strictly short term oriented to the point of ignoring any consequences of such thinking.

Some rant today that WE equipped terrorists in the past, we handed them the tools of their destruction and today, we are paying the price.

Others would say that we are now handing the tools of destruction of the American economy to those who have no interest in maintaining it. All for short term gain.

Let's hope it never leads to economic terrorism of the sort that Mr. Miller cannot see today.

Personally, I think Mr. Miller is short sighted and thinking like his will only lead to our demise.
