He's a politician. He'd give the same answer you did.

And I agree completely that he has no realistic plan. I don't think we could BEG the UN to take over in Iraq on their terms if we paid them a trillion dollars. The UN already knows that when they go into Iraq they are targets just like us.

The only hope would be to pass it off to the Arab league, and let the Arab states be responsible for running an election. What a joke that would be, a bunch of dictatorships overseeing an election for the benefit of the US.
