I just watched the news on CNN and the marines said the took out the wall of the mosque on purpose. So far thats what they are saying -too bad they attacked at prayer time. Are they F'n crazy??? Theres a couple billion muslums in the world. To get an idea of what this means think of how the average American would feel if some military power took out a church in Crawford Texas one Sunday morning. Bush is gonna have the whole muslim world - from Indonesia to Morroco thirsting for American blood. Never mind Iraq just wait till this goes global.

I was in Turkey where our tour guide was able to get special PERMISSION for us to enter a Mosque. We covered our heads and took off our shoes OUTSIDE. Not even allowed one step inside to remove them. I don't know whether AMERCIANS understand what a HOLY PLACE THIS IS... I don't even know how to correlate it with a bombing here except St. Patrick's Cathedral or the Washington Cathedral... In all wars that I knew.... WW.II, Korean, VietNam these were respected places.. A PLACE OF REFUGE... AND NOW WE HAD THE AUDACITY TO BOMB ONE.. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT. DOES ANYONE ON THIS THREAD WHO IS RELIGIOUS AT ALL KNOW WITH WHAT DEEP GUT WRENCHING MEANING THE MOSQUE HAS FOR A PERSON OF ISLAM. WE HAVE REALLY DONE IT NOW. GOD HELP ALL OF US FOR THERE WILL BE NO END TO THEIR RETALIATION AND VENGENCE FOR THIS ACT. And I would not blame them. Imagine people in prayer being killed. And I am not that religious...

If Bremen hadn't closed down Sader's newspaper ... This tragedy was set in motion when the PNAC first sent a letter to Clinton insisting on the overthrow of Saddam, and then deciding that any means could be used to accomplish that task. That action by Grover Norquist and the neocons moved America from it's pinnacle and began the spiral of unilateral destruction, first through the American political system and then the world. Bremer's mistakes were preceeded by mistakes by Jay Garner which were preceeded by the near endless chain of mistakes by Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Clueless George, DeLay, Cheney, and all the way back to Billy Graham who pulled George out of the bottle where he could have died in peace and left the country alone. Today we just witness the latest in mistakes. TP
