Thanks...I can't pretend to understand very much of what you said. Nevertheless, would you think that the product/technolgy has patent protection that would make MRV the "only provider" of that capability? If so, might you speculate on the importance of the technolgy? I wonder if the MRV "solution" is one that can be "leap frogged" and is already somewhat obsolete. I ask such questions because there seems to be such an obvious disconnect between the possible importance of the products MRV offers and the reality of how the company is presently perceived.

interesting in the SAN/WAN area, i would think:

Ciena Corp. announced the general availability of CN 2000, the company's storage extension platform. CN 2000 physically isolates different applications, allowing them to share the same WAN. The platform uses the Asynchronous GFP-T standard for data adaptation, part of the ITU-T G.704/Y.1303 standard. The release allows up to 16 Fibre Channel, Gigabit Ethernet, ESCON or FICON services to share a single channel.
