Did you notice how none of the historians deny that Jesus existed? That's because almost no body with any credibility would make such an absurd claim. (Not that you have) Of course when you post anonymously on a web message board nothing is too far out. As far as the rest of the show goes it follows the usual biased and one sided use of Jesus-seminar type theologians as if they represent the entire spectrum of biblical scholarship. Interesting none the less.

The Jews know full well that their Tribal God is not the Jesus God of the New Testament. In a superstitious age where life had little secular comfort or meaning for most people, and where myth and dogma from various cultures and religions converged and mixed...something had to come out of it all and something had to prevail. The original Judaism was not saving the people. One of the modified Judaic sects did. It is amazing how social evolution occurs...
