Yes, that's the intent of my comment. It will be childs play for the Liberals to paint Harper as one who would have committed Canada, and our troops, to supporting the war in Iraq.

I can picture the attack ads already. A few body bags subliminally visible through flames and war scenes and Harper's face coming to the fore.

If the Liberals are concerned about losing, they won't hesitate to head down this road.

Frankly, a goodly number of regular Conservative voters would agree with them on this.

Harper will try to paint his comments as something else, but given the stakes and emotional content in this issue, he will fail.
