You could be right, but I remember this very argument at the time of the last oil crisis. The argument was would we have deflation or inflation. Inflation won that time and it still might. Remember there is no end to the capacity of the government to print money and while thus far we have had the need for debt creation to create money, there is nothing to stop the government from just giving it away ala "tax refunds". If the tax refunds are not enough, they will call them tax credits or debt redemption certificates. Whatever, I just don't believe that we will see any deflation until inflation becomes so intolerable that deflation and sound money becomes politically acceptable.

why no one pays attention to aluminum ? as a copper substitute for many uses, including piping and electrical wire ? as to several problems with aluminum today copper plated aluminum is starting to be used widely - easier to handle and big weight advantage.
