My guess is that the Israeli government and possibly people may feel that if the US pulls out of Iraq, then the future of Israel becomes less certain.

If I (my English-Jewish-Chinese brother has an uncle/family there) were living in Israel, I would feel that if US pulls out of Iraq, the future of Israel becomes more certain, and so would seriously consider moving house for the sake of my family and self.

I figure that the moves in Iraq, originally somewhat connected to Islam this and Moslim that, is now wrapped in the civilization war for sure.
