Concerns that Nanotech label may be overused, says the NY Times. -Indicates Asensio & Company, an investment firm who's main trading strategy is short selling, faxed a letter to Eliot Spitzer on Thursday charging the misuse of the nano label. Specifically, Asensio asked the NY attorney general to investigate Merrill Lynch for including many companies that have little or nothing to do with nanotechnology in their nanotechnology index introduced on April 1. For its part, MER indicated they were in the process of performing a thorough and diligent inquiry. The index is listed under the symbol NNZ on the AMEX and is not a tradable security. --bloomberg.com
